DMCA Notice & Copyright Policy

Our position as a service provider

SONIX operates strictly as an internet streaming service provider. We do not host, store, record, upload, or own any of the media content that may be accessible through third-party servers. We do not control, produce, or maintain any channel feeds, video-on-demand libraries, or media files. Our role is limited to providing access technology and customer support.

Because SONIX does not store content on its own infrastructure, we are not the appropriate party to host or remove specific media files. However, we take every copyright concern seriously and will act promptly and in good faith on any valid notice we receive.

Our commitment to rights holders

We fully support the rights of content creators, broadcasters, studios, and distributors. If you are a rights holder and you believe material accessible through our service infringes your copyright, we want to hear from you. We review every properly submitted notice and take appropriate action, including forwarding valid complaints to the relevant upstream providers and terminating access for confirmed repeat infringers.

How to submit a DMCA takedown notice

To file a copyright complaint, send a written notice to help@supportiptv.ca with the subject line "DMCA Notice". Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) and equivalent Canadian provisions, your notice should include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (such as a URL) for us to locate it.
4. Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

We aim to acknowledge complete and valid notices within a few business days.

Counter-notification

If you believe material was restricted in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the same address, including the information required under 17 U.S.C. 512(g). We will review counter-notices in good faith.

Repeat infringer policy

SONIX maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We reserve the right to remove access to any user or material at our discretion when we receive a valid complaint.
